11:35 Junction 19
The raft race stage embraces local music from emerging bands and seasoned musos to ‘born again’ talent. To this end Rock project graduates Junction 19 grace us with an opening set of classics from the 70’s onwards. Get along and support ‘em and maybe grab a cheeky early ‘glass of’ from the cricket club bar!
12:00 Rich Sidwick
Anyone who’s been to a local Open Mic in the last few years will likely have seen the singer / songwriter talent that is Richard Sidwick and his acoustic guitar. Whether originals or from a huge compendium of cover tracks, Richard solo and accompanied by special guests will be the perfect live accompaniment to our customary acoustic lunchtime set.
Our proud sponsors StageCoach will be performing a few numbers and showcasing up and coming local artistic talent!
Live Music on the Stage Coach Stage!
We've had some great bands playing over the past few years and this year will be no exception! All bands donate their time on stage in aid of our fundraising causes. Please come along to support these talented people and enjoy an afternoon of entertainment!
15:30 The Mallards
Another return from last year, and after that brilliant set they’re headlining!… before jetting off to join the cast of Love Island. If you haven’t heard them before you’re definitely in for a treat, they describe themselves as a “Bristol based jazz/funk band, with two saxes, a trumpet, a singer, a piano and drums”. This young band however is more than just a sum of those parts, with a new set list of ‘entertain us', it’s only........
13:50 Dukes of Mumbai
The truly brilliant Dukes of Mumbai are back supporting us again. This professional electric guitar band have been ‘round the block and back gigging as their polished instrumental sound bears testament . Playing loud '60s surf-related/TV & film theme tune based stuff (although the actual list is a lot more eclectic than this sounds) with influences including Link Wray, Dick Dale, Les Pros, The Fall, The Eels, Johnny Cash, Quentin Tarantino, anybody who likes guitar music a twist on classic and contemporary rock and a dance NEEDS to be at the raft race music stage to see these guys.
After last years’ popular acoustic lunchtime set we just had to invite Singer Songwriter Annie back onto the raft race stage with new tracks and laid back contemporary cover goooves that you’ll struggle not to join in with and dance… a totally chilled ‘easy like Sunday morning’ or afternoon lead in to the headliners.
13:00 North Somerset Youth Jazz Band
Back to support us again are the very talented NSY band with some fantastic orchestra led grooves. Always a brilliant set leading into the afternoon’s entertainment….hopefully they’ll all fit on the stage.
