The Edible Boat Regatta...!
The Edible Boat Regatta was a new arrival to the Portishead Raft Race in 2009 and it proved to be a great success with over 30 bite-sized boats entered. Look at the photos below to get inspiration for your 2010 edible boat entry......
How it works...
The edible boat regatta took place in the smaller lake at the Lake Grounds in parallel with the Raft Races. It helped keep the kids entertained, and a few adults entered too.
There were prizes for the best designed boat and the one that floated best and longest...
The only rule was that the bite sized boat must be made entirely from edible materials, including any bits that hold them together.
