The Edible Boat Regatta...!

Why not enter your own Edible Boat in this year's regatta? All you have to do is make a bite sized boat out of anything edible... and you could win a prize!

It's great fun for kids of all ages....

The edible boat regatta will take place on the smaller lake at the Lake Grounds, before the main Raft Races start.

The only rule is that the bite sized boat must be made entirely from edible materials, including any bits that hold it together.

There will be prizes for the best designed boat and the one that floats best and longest...

Last year about 30 boats entered and it was great fun for all who entered and spectated. Have a look at the photos for ideas of how to build you boat. Last year's most novel entry was the boat made out of ice!!

We will be starting the edible boat regatta at 12:3o pm on the 11th July 2010. Please come along to register on the day at 12 noon. The registration desk will be between the Lakeside Cafe and the boat house.

The registration fee is £1 which helps to cover the cost of the medal that everyone will get for entering.
